The Agafay desert is only about 40 km from Marrakech, making it the closest desert option. Driving time from Marrakech to Agafay is approximately 40–50 minutes. It's perfect for a half-day or full-day trip and ideal if you have limited time or want to combine it with a sunset dinner.
The Ourika Valley is 65 km from Marrakech and the drive time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. From Setti Fatma at the end of the valley, you can hike to the famous 7 waterfalls in about 45 minutes. We recommend leaving Marrakech early to avoid midday heat.
